Smart Contract Lessons

Overview

There are two tracks. Theory explains how Cardano works for developers coming from web2: blockchains, the eUTXO model, smart contracts, native tokens, and governance. Practical is hands-on coding: Aiken contracts, transactions with the Mesh SDK, and deploying applications.

What's covered

Theory:

  • Blockchains, consensus, and the eUTXO model
  • Wallets, keys, addresses, and transactions
  • Smart contract validators, native tokens, and DeFi
  • Developer infrastructure, security, and governance

Practical:

  • Building transactions with the Mesh SDK
  • Writing and testing Aiken contracts
  • Optimization patterns and reading Plutus blueprints
  • Multi-validator contracts, Hydra, and wallet-as-a-service

Where to start

If you're new to blockchain, start with Theory. If you already know the concepts, go straight to Practical. Both are meant to be followed in order.
